Meet Merinda
Hi there. I’m Merinda.
For most of my life, anxiety and depression were simply part of who I was. I tried countless approaches over the years — and when I attempted to reduce my medication, the anxiety came back harder than ever.
Then I found MAP.
In my very first 90-minute session, my anxiety dropped from a 10 to zero. For the first time in as long as I could remember, I felt genuine joy, calm, and relaxation. I sat there thinking — this is what other people feel like.. That one session changed everything and inspired me to train as a MAP practitioner so I could offer the same transformation to others.
MAP didn't just give me amazing results — it gave me a sense of purpose. And it aligns perfectly with the work I've already been doing for over two decades - a deep commitment and passion for helping people.
I'm a qualified Social Worker with a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) and a Post Graduate qualification in Indigenous Trauma and Recovery Practice. My career has taken me into some of the most challenging and meaningful environments imaginable — cancer care, palliative care, emergency departments, critical care, paediatrics, alcohol and drug rehabilitation, domestic violence support, Aboriginal family legal services, and school social work, to name just a few.
I've worked in Queensland Health, Centrelink, Brisbane City Council, the Department of Communities, and Aboriginal and Independent schools across Queensland. I've supervised Social Work students at USQ and worked as an intensive education case manager supporting some of our most vulnerable young people.

As a Certified MAP Practitioner, I help people achieve a calmer and happier life through a powerful method called MAP Coaching. This new and ground-breaking method clears subconscious blocks and provides powerful results in the brain within minutes. This unique process allows people to finally overcome stress, anxiety, past trauma, negative emotions, limiting beliefs and self-sabotaging behaviors in a non-invasive way that is fast, gentle, and easy, without requiring clients to relive trauma or talk about past experiences. All you need to do is simply relax and I’ll gently guide you as your brain rewires itself.
The MAP Method™ leverages a little-known, groundbreaking discovery in the field of neuroscience called the Window of Reconsolidation. This allows the brain to consolidate and neutralise negative memories within seconds, making personal transformation and positive change easier than ever before. MAP is the biggest breakthrough since tapping and NLP.

What To Expect From a MAP Coaching Session
I conduct MAP Coaching Sessions via Zoom. Each session will take approximately 1 hour.
Before your first session, you’ll be asked to watch a short video that will help prepare you.
I’ll ask you several questions around what challenge you’d like to overcome. You’ll be fully aware throughout the entire process. I won’t ask questions that are invasive and you don’t have to share anything you don’t want to.
Your Involvement In Each Session
All you need to do is sit back and relax. I will check in with you during our session to see how you’re feeling.
At The End of Your Session
You’ll come away feeling a deep sense of relaxation and calm

Full MAP Session

In this 1-hour Session we will focus on a simple block, e.g. neutralize the intensity of a painful memory, change a disempowering belief, or clear a simple phobia or aversion.
3 Session Package

This 3×1 hour Package allows a deeper dive into reducing anxiety, worry, panic, quieten your inner critic, or rewire patterns like perfectionism or procrastination.
6 Session Package

This 6×1 hour Package allows for much deeper work to get to the root of any problem. Examples include healing family relationships, transforming your relationship with money or empowered parenting.
Group Sessions

Everyone is unique and approaches sessions differently, depending on where they are in their journey. Some people have more things to work through, so it can take a little longer. Sometimes the wounds are deeper, and it takes time to uncover the core beliefs behind them and begin to change them.
Others move through their process more quickly. Some patterns are simply habits and easier to shift, while others may be connected to deeper emotional wounds that take more time to heal. -
No. The MAP Method is gentle and works even if you don’t consciously recall events. You simply focus on the stage of life and let your subconscious do the work.

No. MAP works without forcing you to relive or talk about what happened. The process is designed to neutralize emotional charge safely and quickly. You might naturally think about the event but the sessions don't force you to relive it.

The MAP Method uses a neuroscience-based approach that works differently than other traditional therapies. It often clears blocks that other methods miss.

Absolutely. The MAP method doesn’t require in-person attendance for it to work. You can enjoy the sessions in the privacy of your home without the need to travel and find parking. It’s best if you have a quiet space where you can relax and focus. Headphones are recommended but not required.
